Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems and complex data pipelines processing millions of messages per second and terabytes of data.
- Implement complex data transformations and work with distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Build and support GraphQL and REST APIs, including Swagger documentation.
- Work with Java, Kafka, Spark, SQL and NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Implement observability and test automation, perform refactoring, and maintain high-quality software.
- Collaborate closely with a small team while communicating effectively in English and continuously improving engineering practices.
Requirements
- Minimum seven years of software development experience.
- Strong backend development experience.
- B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent; an MSc is preferred.
- Excellent Java skills and deep working knowledge of Kafka and Spark.
- Excellent knowledge of microservice architecture and observability tools such as New Relic and Datadog.
- Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and Swagger.
- Experience with Spring Boot or Micronaut is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including examples such as ClickHouse.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
- Strong refactoring and test automation abilities, along with strong communication, teamwork, learning, and continuous-improvement mindsets.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
