Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Architect and implement event-driven solutions using messaging platforms such as Kafka.
- Build and optimize cloud-native applications deployed on cloud platforms.
- Design and maintain data models and persistence layers.
- Develop REST and GraphQL APIs and implement automated testing using unit, integration, and related testing strategies.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Tune performance and improve scalability, resilience, availability, and reliability across services.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using observability and monitoring tools.
- Implement security best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies that improve system performance and developer productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or foreign equivalent.
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience designing and building microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms.
- Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud platforms, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Experience implementing automated testing strategies with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, API design and development, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services.
- Knowledge of Maven or Gradle, observability and monitoring tools, logging frameworks, and centralized logging solutions.
- Familiarity with security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, and OWASP principles.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum environments.
