Base Salary
$240k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build Traba’s agent platform, including orchestration runtime, evaluation and observability stack, customer and internal system integrations, and reusable agent patterns.
- Own model strategy, harness design, retrieval and memory architecture, tool/MCP surface, and quality measurement.
- Develop evaluation datasets, graders, regression suites, and experimentation tooling.
- Work directly with customers and operators to translate operational requirements into durable product and deployment patterns.
- Hire and mentor engineers and establish engineering quality standards.
- Partner with the CTO, product, and operations leadership on the multi-year platform roadmap.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years of hands-on production work on LLM- or agent-based systems.
- Deep expertise in Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, with experience designing distributed systems, APIs, and data models using PostgreSQL and modern messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Demonstrated ownership of a substantial production agent system covering orchestration, tool use, retrieval, evaluations, observability, and cost or latency tuning.
- Background in vertical AI, AI-agent companies, forward-deployed engineering, or AI-native data companies; supply chain, logistics, or industrial experience is a bonus.
- Experience leading 0-to-1 builds in early-stage environments and operating with high autonomy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer workshops, design documentation, and recruiting.
