Responsibilities
- Develop application code and automated tests for a distributed computing system with a Java backend and Angular frontend.
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive Angular user interfaces in collaboration with business users and UX stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture and design discussions, technical research, and technology recommendations.
- Analyze test and production issues and identify shortcomings in functionality, scalability, testability, security, and resiliency.
- Support automation and CI/CD pipeline development.
- Work with testers and business users to improve applications and platform standards.
- Provide training, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members.
- Assist in hiring qualified personnel.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience in backend or full-stack roles.
- Demonstrated contributions to system design and architecture.
- Core technical experience with Java, Spring, SQL, Hibernate, Kafka, TypeScript, and Angular.
- Hands-on experience developing production applications with Angular and TypeScript.
- Experience with test and build automation using CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of databases, web frameworks, enterprise integration concepts, queues, publish-subscribe systems, REST APIs, and microservice architectures.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs from backend and frontend perspectives.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and knowledge of OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Good English communication skills and comfort working in Agile operating models.
