Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust distributed software systems at scale.
- Lead the technical direction and domain expertise for the identity and non-human identity security offering.
- Build data pipelines that analyze, classify, correlate, and evaluate non-human identity tokens and permissions.
- Design extensible architectures that accelerate integration with SaaS platforms such as GitHub, Slack, and Salesforce.
- Own technical decisions from early system design through production availability, performance, and fault tolerance.
- Conduct design reviews, establish engineering standards, mentor engineers, and improve team capabilities.
- Partner with product management and engineering leadership to align architecture with product and business objectives.
- Drive innovation across the software stack to address emerging security challenges.
Requirements
- 9+ years of software engineering experience with a deep focus on backend architectures and distributed systems.
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating production-grade cloud-native backend systems.
- Experience building cloud-native products on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong experience with distributed architectures and messaging or streaming frameworks such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, or Celery.
- Strong database modeling and query experience with SQL databases.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming models such as asyncio and Goroutines.
- Experience with production programming languages such as Python and Go.
- Strong system design judgment, cross-team technical alignment, and engineering mentorship experience.
- Cybersecurity experience in Identity and Access Management, secret management, or non-human identity security is advantageous.
- A B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or relevant military experience, is advantageous.
